Block of the Month - October

Hope you like this months square, it's fairly easy but looks effective.
4mm hook, 8ply green and your favourite colour
UK/AUS terms used
Using your favourite colour, ch 2 and join.
Round 1
ch2, 8dc into centre and join

Round 2
ch 9 slip stitch into next dc, repeat 7 times (8 petals) join to beginning.

Round 3
ch 3, work behind the petals slip stitch into back of next slip stitch of previous round, repeat 7 times, join.

Round 4
*slip stitch into next ch3 space, ch 9 slip stitch into same space 3 times. Repeat from * 7 times, join.

Round 5 & 6
Repeat rounds 3 & 4

Round 7
ch 4, work behind the petals slip stitch into next slip stitch of previous round, repeat 7 times, join

Round 8
Using green, (3tr, ch3, 3tr) in each ch4 space, join

Round 9
tr in between each tr, (1tr, ch2, 1tr) in each corner, break yarn.

Round 10
using favourite colour, dc in corner space, *(3dtr, ch3, 3dtr) in 4th (middle) tr,
dc in next corner space and in each stitch to next corner, repeat from * 3 times, join to beg

Round 11
slip stitch to corner, (2tr, ch2, 2tr) in each corner and treble in between each stitch

Round 12 & 13
repeat round 11
